President and Managing Director

Panos Antonaropoulos was born in Athens, Greece, in 1957, where he still lives and works. He is married to Nanda Vlachou-Antonaropoulou. He graduated from high school in 1975 and during the same year he was accepted in the National Technical University of Athens in the faculty of Civil Engineering from where he graduated in 1980. He served in the Navy for two years. He speaks and writes very well the English language.

He started his professional career in 1983 in the field of consulting engineering services, collaborating with the company Hydromet LTD of the late Constantinos Zeris, dealing mainly with Hydraulic, Structural and Environmental projects. The collaboration resulted in the founding of the Consulting Company “K. Zeris – P. Antonaropoulos and Associates LTD (Z&A Ltd) in 1990.

Aris Bakalis got his Civil Engineering diploma in 1999, along with his specialization in Hydraulic Sector (MSc) from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He started his career as a junior engineer in K. Zeris – P. Antonaropoulos and Associates Ltd in 1999. He has 17 years of consulting experience in the Hydraulic and Structural sectors. He became partner of Z&A in 2004. He has working experience in Greece, Cyprus, Zambia, Yemen, Rwanda, Mauritius and Ethiopia.

Director of Structural Dept.

Maria Athanasiou is specialised in Structural Sector  holding an MSc from the Polytechnic University of Patra. She started her career as a junior engineer in K. Zeris – P. Antonaropoulos and Associates Ltd in 1992. She has 24 years of consulting experience in private engineering sector. Soon, she became partner of Z&A. She has working experience in Greece and Cyprus.

Director of Water Supply and Sewerage Projects

Stathis Tselepidis got his Civil Engineering diploma in 1998, along with his specialization in Hydraulic Sector (MSc) from the National Technical University of Athens. He started his career as a junior engineer in K. Zeris – P. Antonaropoulos and Associates Ltd in 1998. He has 18 years of consulting experience in private engineering sector. He became partner of Z&A in 2004. He has working experience in Greece, Ethiopia, Yemen and Cyprus.

Geotechnical Expert

Prof Michael J. Kavvadas obtained his PhD in Geotechnical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge, MA. USA in 1982. Since 1998, he is Associate Professor in the Geotechnical Department of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). In addition to his extensive academic research experience (including three books and over 160 research publications), he has over 30 year consulting experience in large geotechnical projects (including dams, landslides, foundations of infrastructures, tunnelling, marine works, mining, etc.) in Greece and other countries (Cyprus, Kenya, Uganda, S. Sudan, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Mauritius, Zambia, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Egypt, Kuwait, Iraq). Since 2005 he has been collaborating with Z&A as geotechnical expert on all geotechnical aspects of Z&A projects.

Director of Hydrology, Water Management & Environmental Dept.

Ioannis Niadas got his Civil Engineering diploma in 1992, along with his specialization in Hydraulic Sector (MSc) from the National Technical University of Athens and an MSc, DIC diploma in Environmental Hydrology from the Imperial College of London, England. He started his career as a junior engineer in Enveco in 1993 and entered Z&A in 2003. He has 20 years of consulting experience in private engineering sector. He became partner of Z&A in 2007. He has working experience in Greece, England, Kenya, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Yemen.

Director of Construction Management & Supervision Dept.

Alex Karampis holds an MSc in Design and Construction of Underground Works from NTUA of Athens, a PMP certification from PMI of Greece, and an MBA International from AUEB of Athens. He has worked as a resident engineer for reputated construction companies before joining Z&A in 2016, and has 15 years of extensive experience in project management and construction management for large scale PPP projects (including motorways, airports, railway & metro, tunnels, bridges, hydraulic projects, waste water treatment, dams). Alexandros became the Director of the Construction Management and Supervision Department of Z&A in 2017, and is currently responsible for the Construction Supervision of the Mwomboshi Dam in Zambia.

 

 

Director of Dam Design and Hydraulic Infrastructure

Ioannis Batsolakis holds an M.Sc. in the Geotechnical and Hydraulic Sector from the National Technical University of Athens. He started his career as a junior engineer in PPC (Public Power Corporation) where he he has gained valuable experience in the Hydropower sector. He has 38 years of consulting experience in public and private engineering sector. He has working experience in Greece, Cyprus, Yemen, Kenya and Ethiopia.

Business Development Department

Tasos Pantermarakis holds an MSc in Engineering Management from the University of Coventry. He has started his career as a mechanical engineer and later as a Productivity & Management consultant for several companies in the UK and Greece. He spent 8 years, from 2006 to 2014, as the Plant Manager for an Automotive products firm in Greece, before joining Z&A in 2014. Since then he is the Head of the Business Development Department of the firm, responsible for identifying rising business opportunities and building long term relationships with clients and other project stakeholders.
