Z&A as the leading firm of a J/V signed a new Water Supply related contract in Malawi. The consulting services include detailed designs and construction supervision of Blantyre Water Supply network upgrades. The Consultancy assignment shall be conducted in two phases: Phase 1–detailed design and tender documentation; and Phase 2–construction supervision and DMA establishment and commissioning.
The assignment shall be completed within a period of Fifty- Eight (58) calendar months.
Phase 1 of the consultancy assignment is expected to be conducted over a period of Ten (10) months and Phase 2 over a period of 48 months ths includes 12 months’ defects liability period)

The Services to be provided by Z&A are organized in two part: Review the designs and ensure compliance with the technical specification and design solution of the works implemented by the contractor - Supervision of construction works and implementation of safeguard measures - Training activities for stakeholders such as dam committees and district local staff.

Z&A was invited and did a presentation as part of the postgraduate program "Management of Infrastructure and Construction Projects" that was launched thanks to the partnership between the National Technical University of Athens - School of Civil Engineering and the GEK TERNA Group, which will finance the program for five years with half a million euros.
The MSc Program aims at the specialization of young engineers in the administration and management of infrastructure and construction projects, with the use of new technologies, in further analysing the modern scientific concepts and implementation of techniques related to all stages of the projects' life cycle
The construction of the Kammitsi Dam (29,95 m height (from foundation), and Reservoir Capacity of 1.050.000 m3) in Cyprus continues. A visit by Z&A's Executive Director Mr Panos Antonaropoulos and Z&A's Technical Director Mr Aris Bakalis has taken place today to meet with the rest of Z&A's resident engineers and view real time the progress of works. Z&A is working closely with the client and the constructor for the successful completion of the project following Z&A’s core values Specialization, Integrity, and Excellence.

[more]Ζ&A as leader of a J/V, in line with the requirements of the Framework Directive 2000/60/EC (Article 14) organised the public consultation in two different towns (Patras 20 Oct 2023, Kalamata 26 Oct 2023) under the project 2ND REVISION OF RIVER BASIN MANAGEMENT PLANS OF THE 14 WATER DIVISIONS OF THE COUNTRY. Two more meetings will be held . The first one in Corfu (02 Nov 2023) and the second one in Nafplio (10 Nov 2023).

(A) ADDITIONAL AND NEW STUDIES, (B) PREPARATION OF TENDER DOCUMENTS FOR THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF TENDERS, (C) EVALUATION OF BIDS, (D) SUPERVISION OF THE CONSTRUCTION WORKS OF THE SEWAGE SYSTEM IN GOVERNMENT SETTLEMENTS AND SELF-HOUSING SETTLEMENTS IN LIMASSOL, (E) SUPERVISION OF WORKS WITHIN THE RESIDENCES. Z&A will be supervising the works.

A seven-day training was contacted from the 9th until the 15th of June 2023 in Athens and Patras, Greece by Z&A Consulting Engineers and Roikos Engineering Consultants within the framework of the project ‘’Selection of Consulting Services for Non-Revenue Water Reduction Strategic Plan and Implementation Mechanisms & Business Plan Development of Hawassa, Wolaita- Sodo and Arba-Minch Towns Water Supply and Sewerage Authority’’
Site visits were organised at the EYDAP (the largest company in Greece in the water supply, sewerage and wastewater treatment sector) in Athens and at the DEYAP in Patras City (Patras is Greece's third-largest city and the regional capital of Western Greece).
